License Types

The available OmniPage Capture SDK licenses can be categorized by purpose (development or runtime), counting base (hardware-tied/node-locked/per seat or app-tied/royalty based), validity period and processing volume (desktop or server). The table below summarizes the available types.

Fixed Volume Licenses (FVL)

These kinds of licenses can be ordered for fixed prices and include a given number of licenses (seats), covering the defined sets of features. These licenses get tied to the computer hardware during the activation process through the HWFP (Hardware Fingerprint).

OEM Licenses

OEM licenses are available as distribution/runtime licenses. They are purchased typically for larger-scale distributions (e.g. 50 seats and over). An OEM license is only issued to a developer partner who integrates the features and technology of Nuance OmniPage Capture SDK and signs a special OEM contract with Nuance. The payment is controlled by the conditions of the OEM contract usually including prepaid and royalty based parts. Technically the OEM license is tied to the integrator application and does not require deployment-time individual activation on the target runtime computer.

Page Based Licenses

Page Based licenses include all available Nuance OmniPage Capture SDK features, but are limited by page number and time. These are distributed in two formats.

  1. Page per month: 
    • one, two, or three years of validity period,
    • 'n' number of conversions each month,
    • available conversion amounts: 50.000, 250.000, 1.000.000, 5.000.000.
  2. Page pack: 
    • one year of validity period,
    • fixed page number for the entire year,

    1. Evaluation page pack: 45 days of validity period, 5000 number of conversions.
